ryddle is a messenger-based outdoor quiz that you can play with your friends and family. You can find out more under "Adventures".

The offered adventures primarily differ in terms of their character and tone, while their duration and distance are largely comparable. More details about each adventure can be found under "Adventures".

For an adventure, you require an Internet-enabled device (smartphone or tablet) equipped with the Facebook Messenger app. Neither the device manufacturer nor the operating system matter (see also "On which devices does ryddle work?").

In addition, you should make sure in advance that your device is sufficiently charged when you begin the adventure. To ensure you are not running out of battery, you may want to take a powerbank with you. Furthermore, we recommend to wear comfortable shoes.

The adventures differ slightly in the number of riddles to be solved and the distance covered. More detailed information can be found under "Adventures". However, the duration is usually between 1 and 2 hours, depending on how quickly you solve the riddles and how many breaks you take.

In principle, the number of players is not limited. However, the adventures are most fun in teams of 2 to 4 people. For larger groups, it is advisable to form multiple teams (see also "Does the start code only apply to me or all participants?" and "Can I play on several devices simultaneously?").

An adventure usually costs 19,90€ (incl. VAT). For this price you can expect about 2 hours of fun with your friends or family. You can find out more about the different adventures under "Adventures".

You can pay conveniently with a payment method of your choice. We accept PayPal, credit cards, Sofortüberweisung and Giropay. If you have received a voucher, you can redeem it during the payment process (see also "How can I redeem a voucher?").

If you have a voucher, you can redeem it within a regular order process. After having selected an adventure, you will be forwarded to the payment process. Please enter your voucher code in the field "Discount" to reduce the invoice amount accordingly.

The invoice will be sent to you automatically and immediately after we have received your payment. The invoice shows the price of the ordered adventure as well as the associated VAT.

Immediately after the payment (see also "How can I pay?") of your ordered adventure, we will send you the start code via e-mail. This e-mail also contains short instructions regarding the next steps.

The start code is valid for one adventure, regardless of the number of players (see also "How many people can I play with?"). However, the start code can only be used on one device (see also "On which devices does ryddle work?"), so it is a good idea to select a person who reads out the messages.

The start code is valid for one year after the payment. During this period you can use the start code anytime to start the respective adventure (see also "How do I start an ordered adventure?").

The delivery of the start code usually takes only a few seconds, but in rare cases it can take several minutes. If you have not received a start code, please check the spam folder of your e-mail account first. If you can't find the e-mail there either, we recommend you to check whether the payment has been successfully completed (in your PayPal payment history, for example). If the problem persists, please contact us directly: support@ryddle.de.

Yes, you can cancel an order within 14 days given that the start code has not been used by then. Please contact us via e-mail at support@ryddle.de. Please make sure to indicate the number of your order.

There are no additional costs for you. However, please note that a mobile Internet connection is required to play the adventures (see also "What do I need for an adventure?"). If you do not have an Internet flat rate, additional costs may be charged by your mobile phone provider.

You can play ryddle at any time of the day – day or night – and on any day of the week – even on holidays. However, we recommend to play ryddle during the day as certain riddles may be harder to solve in the dark.

Simply go to the starting point of the adventure at a time of your choice. Once there, open the Facebook Messenger, start a chat with ryddle and click "Let's go". Before the adventure begins, we provide a few more tips on how to play the game.

If your start code does not work, please check first whether you have possibly swapped the letter "O" with the number "0". If the problem persists, you should contact us at: support@ryddle.de.

No, all riddles can be solved without any particular prior knowledge. The solutions or hints are usually hidden in your immediate environment. If a riddle turns out to be too tricky, you can always use the "hint" function. Learn more about this under "What should I do if I can't solve a riddle?".

If you can't solve a riddle, you can get one or more hints by entering the word "Hint".

Since the length of the game is not fixed, you can interrupt the adventure at any time, e.g. to take a break. During all adventures you pass by several places of interest, restaurants and cafés that are suitable for short breaks.

You can stop an adventure at any time and continue it at a later point in time. Simply go to the location of the last riddle that you have solved and open the ryddle chat again. Please note, however, that the start code loses its validity after one year (see also "For how long is a start code valid?").

Despite regular checks, unforeseen restrictions in the course of the game may occur in rare cases. In such a case we recommend you to solve the concerned riddle with the help of the "hint" function in order to proceed. We would greatly appreciate if you could report such problems to info@ryddle.de.

If your battery is running low, you have two options. If you have a charging option (e.g. a powerbank or a charging cable in a café, etc.), it is best to take a short break for this purpose. If you do not have a charging possibility, you can either continue the adventure on another day or you must restart the adventure using another device.

If a technical error occurs, we advise you to first determine whether this error is caused is device- or server-related. The former can be checked by opening the ryddle chat on another device. If no error occurs, we recommend restarting the faulty device. If the problem persists, the only option is to use another device. In this case you have to restart the adventure. If the ryddle chat does not work on another device, the error is probably server-related. In this case it is best to wait and try to continue the adventure after a few minutes.

For many places additional background information is available. You will be informed about this possibility, if available. The additional information can be retrieved by entering the keyword "Info". Please note that this additional information is not needed to solve the riddles!

The personal data that you provide when placing an order (e.g. your e-mail address and mobile phone number) is stored exclusively for the purpose of processing the order and is not passed on to third parties under any circumstances. To play ryddle you only need a mobile internet connection and the Facebook Messenger app. It doesn't matter on which device you use this app. The adventures can be played with a smartphone as well as a tablet. Also, the type of operating system (e.g. iOS, Android) does not matter.

Unfortunately, it is currently not possible to play on several devices at the same time. Therefore, it is important that you decide which device you are going to play on before the start of the game. A stable internet connection and a sufficient battery level are important. In addition, a large screen can make it easier to read the instructions.

No, the adventures are completely harmless. Nevertheless, you should always look out for other pedestrians, cyclists and cars when solving riddles. Please adhere to traffic regulations!

As the adventures lead through the public space, accessibility is not always given. For wheelchair users the adventure "Deadly Kiez" is the best choice (cobblestones only on very limited parts of the route).

Although our offer is intended for adults, we consider the contents of all adventures to be suitable for children aged 12 and above.
